Big Jade on “Pressure”, Beatking, Slim Thug & Bun B Showing Her Love

Alamo Records artist Big Jade is fresh off the release of her debut project “Pressure”. The 10 track outing features the likes of her close friend Beatking as well as Erica Banks, OMB Bloodbath, & Queendom Come. Stopping by On The Radar the Texas rapper spoke about her journey to this point, the project, getting her name from Jade the Mortal Kombat character + more!

When it came to the project, Jade wanted to give her fans something authentic and something that they can take and really understand who she is, where she came from and all the things that she’s gone through. With her mother gracing the cover with her, Jade explained to us that the project is really just a story from where she was to where she is now, with her mother & daughter playing a big role in it.

“Just the vibe of Pressure gave me like that vibe all of my memories from when I had these samples from back in the day, that was really what the vibe was for me, the whole tape was really about my momma and my daughter from where we were at to where we are today, and I feel like that was like one of the starting points of molding me into who I was, I just wanted people to get to know, something really personal, if you know me you really know every line in what Im talking about. I want people to know when you see me and my momma on the cover of that it's gone get personal, the good the bad the ugly, im just trying to be personal with my fans and let them know who I am”

Back in March, Jade has one of the biggest full-circle moments in her career. After performing at a show in which Texas rap icons Bun B and Slim Thug were at, Jade got off stage and was greeted by the two. While she was in shock by the fact that they knew her she played it cool and expressed how incredible it was to be shown love by the legends.

“I get off the stage and say wassup Slim, wassup Bun like Big Bunny Texas, Big Bunny Jade im telling you my heart dropped, like me, this n---- for sure know who I am. I was fired the f--- up but I played it cool like I was good and was like alright and by the time they took the picture (Jade Smiles), I was just so happy”
