After dropping their “Clan Virus 2” project in March we got speak with BlueBucksClan featuring the likes of Bino Rideaux, Cash Kidd, Quavo, Hit-Boy and Lil Yachty. Sitting down with On The Radar the guys spoke about how the group first got started, their new album, wanting to do a whole EP with Hitboy, + much more.
At one point the BlueBucksClan was more than just DJ and Jeeezy. Sharing the story of how they first got started they expressed that they never could have predicted this is how things would go but are grateful that they have made it this far.
“Nothing was forced we already were really hanging with each other every day so it just kinda happened at the perfect timing, it was more than just me and him, it was our homies but the way it happened I couldn’t tell you how it only ended up me and him, us sounding so good together, it was just meant to be”
When it came to the features on “Clan Virus 2”, Quavo and Lil Yachty’s verses were big standouts on the project. With both rappers putting their own spin on a West Coast beat, DJ and Jeeezy explained how they were able to take the Atlanta Natives into their own world.
“I feel like Yachty and Quavo we met them at different times when we met with Yachty he kinda wanted to do something our style, with Quavo we were working with Hitboy and he was like I got sometimes for yall, a lot of times producers feel like they make a beat for us like its our style. That’s kinda how that went, Quavo came that day and was like yall like this beat, f--- it load it up”
