Qrunitup On “DFA” Single, Signing to Asylum Records, Upcoming Tape + More!

QRunItUp is one of the latest artists to come out of Brooklyn and has already begun to make some major noise in the city with records such as “Trappin On Trap” and “Ride”. Recently signing to Asylum Records Q is currently on track to release a new tape later this year. Speaking with On The Radar the New York rapper spoke about his new single, upcoming tape, what Bobby and Rowdy coming home means to him + more!

Starting off the year dropping his new single & video “DFA”, Q painted a grim picture wherein the video he gets jumped by some people while walking down the street. Sharing a bit about the song and video Q expresses that everything he raps/sings about is all real events and experiences that he has gone through and the visuals were inspired by his early years in high school.

“It's all facts all my music is facts whether it's on a drill beat or on a singing beat, nothing that’s ever in my music is fake, the video and song is all about what happened in real life when I first got to Highschool in ninth grade, people tried to rob me and that inspired the video”

With the talk of the town lately being about the return of Rowdy Rebel and Bobby Shmurda, Q actually has a close connection to the story as when he moved to the city he lived in the same area as the two rappers even going as far to tell us that when he was younger he would see them moving around.

“Well, im from the 9, im from 93rd and Clarkson, when I first came to America that’s where I been. But that’s where im from, I went to PS 219, right next where everybody is at, I been seen them for years and been around them. It’s big though, they deserve to be home”
