Big Boogie On Signing To Yo Gotti, Moneybagg Yo Friendship, New Project

Straight from Memphis Tennesse Big Boogie tapped into On The Radar in the new year after releasing his latest project Final Nightmare back in October, signing with Yo Gotti’s CMG this year, getting to work with one of his favorite artists (Dej Loaf) on a record + more!

The friendship between Big Boogie and Yo Gotti has been going on for some time now as Gotti began mentoring him a few years back. Since then Gotti has overseen the release of a few of his past tapes before signing him finally to CMG this year. Sharing with us how it feels to be signed now and among the ranks of Moneybagg YO & Blac Youngsta, Big Boogie had this to say:

“It’s really a blessing. I was already buzzing, I had like 3 songs, but I didn’t have any push behind me I was just doing it with my energy. Knowing him he came out the blue and told me “you should come over here”, so knowing me I didn’t know anything about this, however, I was proud of myself and it made me go over and made me go faster. I got signed right after my birthday and that was the best Birthday gift to me It made me want to go even harder”

Since running around with Gotti, Boogie has always developed a strong bond with fellow CMG rapper Moneybagg Yo who he met early on in his career, citing that Moneybagg was his favorite rapper at the time and to be able to meet him and get game from hit was everything.

“I ain’t know Moneybagg from the streets, I knew him from the music, he always been my favorite rapper because of how he came out with his aggression and hungriness. It clicked from there God knew it was for me so when I took of I met him first and he gave me the game and I ran with it, told me to be around nothing negative and that’s what I did”.

When it comes to his next tape dropping this year Big Boogie is going to be blending his classic street style of rapping with some more industry-friendly sounds.

“The new tape I’m taking it to the streets, I’m taking it to the industry, but Ima keeps some of it to the streets. Ima switch the vibes up on it but it's going to be dangerous. The energy I’m going to give to them they gone be like this man is raw”
