Guapdad 4000 On E-40, Too $hort Collab, Upcoming Project With IllMind

Guapdad 4000 was one of the most consistent artists in 2020. Dropping a slue of singles and EP's such as Platnium Falcon Tape 1 & “Platinum Falcon Returns”. Of course, the music also comes along with numerous viral moments for the rapper including his 10-foot long durag which he wore to the 2020 Grammys where he was nominated for his work on Dreamville’s “Revenge of The Dreamers 3”

A few weeks ago there was a legendary Verzuz that went down between Bay Area legends Too Short & E-40. A collab album also followed up the momentous occasion from the two legends. Guapdad 4000 of course being from the bay area was featured on the project on “Oaklandish” in a milestone career moment for the rapper he expressed nothing but gratitude for the two bay area legends.

“Man it's unbelievable I imagined this so I don’t want to say never, but I didn’t know when it was going to happen where I would be accepted by the OGs, E-40 & Too Short, AND I’m on their joint album. So I’m hella excited for people to hear my verse rapping with Too Short that’s crazy”

As for what Guapdad 4000 has in store for his 2021 he revealed to us that he has a whole album and an actual short film coming soon with producer Illmind!

“I’m doing a whole album with Illmind called “1176” and it's all about my routes growing up in Oakland. I’m just really putting it together with its almost like my origin story, the cover art is beautiful, now we just working on the single, it’ll be coming out in a month or two after people see this. We’re also shooting a whole short film to go along with it, it's going to look like some shit you watch on FX like Snowfall or Atlanta, I’m not doing the typical rapper short film there’s going to be episodes to this story and I’m just super excited to do it”
