Ramón Luis Ayala Rodríguez also know as Daddy Yankee was born in 1977 in Rio Pierdras Puerto Rico. The six time Latin Grammy award winning star first coined the word "Reggaeton" to describe the new music that was coming out of Puerto Rico. This new sound of latin music was a blend of Hip-Hop, Reggae, and Carribean music. The style also featured latin artists singing and rapping over the music, since coining the term and creating one of the biggest genres in the world Daddy Yankee is know as the King of Reggaeton.

Aside from inspiring a whole generation of artists such as J Balvin, Bad Bunny, Sech, Nicky Jam, Anuel AA, + more, Yankee is also a producer and actor. In the early 2000s the singer produced album for the likes of Nicky Jam, Miguelito, & Rubio & Joel. For us to go over the countless accolades and awards that Yankee has would take some time as he has been nominated for well over 400 awards throughout his career and has won 142 of them.

He is also the most subscribed to Latin artist on youtube as well as had the most viewed video on Youtube alongside Luis Fonsi with "Despacito", which has earned 6.9 BILLION views since it's release.
