There have been countless stories of various people within the music industry who passed on signing Drizzy early on in his career and it seems as if Akon may have been one of those people who also passed on signing the OVO rapper.
Speaking with DJ Vlad the Akon said that what turned him off from signing Drake was the fact that at the time the singer says he sounded too much like Eminem.
"At the time, believe it or not, Drake sounded more like Eminem, That's every artists' development. You can see the difference between that demo and 'Best I Ever Had'."
