Florida Has 44 Hospitals With ICUs At Max Capacity

Forty four Florida hospitals had zero percent adult bed availability in their intensive care units as of July 6, according to data from the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration.

This new data was revealed on Monday as the state reported more than 6,000 new cases of coronavirus and 47 deaths for that day. Hospitalizations across the state have been ticking upward, with nearly 1,700 patients admitted in the past seven days compared with 1,200 the previous week.

Miami-Dade said it has more than 1,600 coronavirus patients now in the hospital, more than double from two weeks ago. From Sunday to Sunday, Florida reported 59,036 new cases, the most in a one-week period since the pandemic began.
