Loved ones of Rayshard Brooks wore white today as they filed into the famed Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta for his homegoing service.
The service was held more than a week after he was shot to death by a police officer in a Wendy’s parking lot. His gold coffin was covered in an elaborate spray of flowers, and his family sat in the front pew. The church is the same one where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was baptized, ordained, and eventually co-pastored.
