25,000 Complaints To NY State Of Businesses Violating Reopening Plan

During a press conference, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo says there have has never been more complaints in a shorter amount of time after businesses violated the state's reopening plan. He went on to announce that bars and restaurants can lose their liquor licenses is this continues.

Cuomo:

"We have received 25,000 complaints of reopening violations. Bars or restaurants that violate the law can lose their liquor license. People with open containers in the street can be fined. Police & protesters not wearing masks can be fined. Local gov't must enforce the law."

"The violation complaints are predominantly from Manhattan & the Hamptons. Lots of violations of social distancing, parties in the street, restaurants and bars ignoring laws. Enforce the law or there will be state action."

In New York City many restaurants and bars have been offering "to go drinks' but many patrons have been staying outside the establishments "loitering" and socializing a bit while enjoying the drink.
