Lego is making a firm statement with their recent move in the wake of George Floyd death as well as the thousands of protests going on around the world. The toy company reportedly sent out an email to retailers that sell lego sets requesting they stop marketing products that include police sets as well as their white house set, “In light of recent events, Lego has requested the below products to be removed from sites and any marketing ASAP”.
A spokesperson for the company added on that “There is no place for racism in our society ... Our mission is to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow, and that includes inspiring them to be tolerant, inclusive and kind".
Lego also said it would donate $4 Million to education non-profits that educate children about racial equality.
