Mother’s Day Weekend brought with it huge crowds at newly reopened restaurants, and not everything went as smoothly as you’d hope.
In Cape Cod, Massachusetts, an ice cream shop closed again after 1 day of being open — the owner said that customers were abusing staff over the long wait for their ice cream. One 17-year-old employee even quit in disgust over the harassment by customers. "It was just disgusting...like caged animals finally freed after eight weeks" says the shop owner.
Also, North Carolinians protested against lockdown orders by carrying long guns and rocket launchers into a Subway in Raleigh.
