Last year there were reports that Lil Nas X had gained a massive following on Twitter before "Old Town Road" came out because the account was formally a Nicki Minaj stan account that would post memes, videos etc. Last April during an Interview with NPR the artist reportedly adressed these claims that his twitter account was formally the account known as NAsMaraj.
"It's like a big misunderstanding and it's not one that I even want to give the time, because I'm never putting someone as the face of my career. So I don't even speak on it. I just don't even acknowledge it, really. I know even more things are being made up and they're gonna be out there. It is disappointing when a big blog will post something without me talking about it but, I mean, it happens."
Now yesterday the "Rodeo" rapper took to twitter to tweet "life is too short to pretend you’re not a barb". While this could just be the young start trolling, it could also be him showing love to Nicki amidst all the wild claims about his twitter account being a former stan account.
