Sending our condolences to the family of Fred The Godson on this sad day 🙏🏾

Fred, 35, lost his battle to COVID-19 today after being hospitalized in a New York hospital for several weeks since contracting the coronavirus. News of his passing first broke after DJ Self posted it on his Instagram page: "Was loved by many never heard one bad thing about you RIP @fredthegodsonmusic Sleep Well my brother 🙏🏾."

Fred who suffered from asthma and issues with his kidneys, had shared that he was battling the virus via his Instagram page in March and asked his followers to keep him in their prayers. His wife, LeAnn Jemmott, has kept the public abreast of his developments and condition, but has not yet posted about his passing.

Frederico who hailed from The Bronx, was one of New York's illest ever on the wordplay. And that's not up for discussion!

Sleep in peace King.
