Dascha Polanco Teams Up With Lemonade Stand To Help NYC Smalls Businesses

I got to check in with my Dominican sister Dascha Polanco as she practices that "stay home" order out in Atlanta where she's quarantined and boy did we get the talking.

After exchanging pleasantries and finally meeting for the first time, we got right into what's happening at the moment when it comes to our country being locked-down and how it is affecting out Latino communities right here in New York City. Since the quarantine began the Hollywood star says that she has been very concerned about small businesses closing down and is doing her part to help the community that has supported her from day one.

Dascha's family owned small businesses and she knows the hustle it takes to manage one, so together with her friends at Lemonade Stand NY, they're supporting small businesses in NYC. Lemonade Stand has designed a T-Shirt for their initiative, Closed For Good, where the sale proceeds will go back to one of Dascha's favorite spots uptown, Locksmith. The initiative will later pick a different business to support.

While locked down Dascha has been pampering herself a bit, spending time with her son, working on her music and taking calls from her Dominican aunts who seem to have it all figured out when it comes to how we should move during this Pandemic 😂❤️🇩🇴🙏🏾

Of course we had to get into her acting projects, like her role in Ava Duvernay's 'When They See Us' and how it was working alongside the legendary, Robert DeNiro in Martin Scorsese's 'The Irishman.' Dascha is also set to appear in Lin-Manuel Miranda's 'In The Heights' movie which is set to drop in 2020 and also has a project in the works with Sylvester Stallone.

Keep up the good work Dascha 👏🏾🗽👏🏾 NY loves and supports you!
