New York State now is the leader in Coronavirus cases worldwide with 159,937 confirmed cases, more than 10,000 more than the previous day. Spain previously held the record with 152,446 cases but as of yesterday New York has passed that. The state has also done more tests per capita than any other nation lending to the greater number of confirmed.
There were also a record number of deaths for a third consecutive day with 799, raising the total death in New York to over 7,067. However despite all of this there is some good news, New York state is finally showing that social distancing is working slowing down the rate of new cases and start to flatten the curve however to keep showing progress we still all have to follow social distancing rules:
"We're flattening the curve so far, It is good news. 'Well, now I can relax,' No, you can't relax, the flattening of the curve last night happened because of what we did yesterday and the day before and the day before that."
