DJ Khaled Donates $45,000 To Help DJs Affected By Pandemic

Our guy DJ Khaled is a real one and oh so SOLID! 👏🏾🔑🙏🏾

On Thursday morning DJ Envy announced that this Sunday he will be holding a "DJ-Thon" on Instagram Live to raise funds for DJs who have hit hard times during the COVID-19 pandemic since clubs, bars, weddings, concerts...have all been shut down. Along with the DJ-Thon, Envy said that funds would be raised for the DJs via a GoFundMe page titled "I Love My DJ" and a goal was set at $50,000.

DJ Envy:

During this pandemic you’ve seen DJs step up to the plate and throw virtual parties to keep the spirits up during this quarantine. It’s tough right now for so many DJs to provide for their families with no bars, clubs, lounges or events to work. For a lot of DJs there is no unemployment option, health care, savings or retirement plan. This is a fitting opportunity to come together and support those who uplift and entertain us through their musical craft.
Let’s help our DJs in need. No amount is too small!

Just hours after Envy announced the DJ-Thon, that goals was CRUSHED after DJ Khaled came through and dropped over $45,000! Khaled first made a donation of $15,000 and just minutes later made ANOTHER donation for $30,255. Thanks to Khaled's generous donation along with the donations of others, over $51,000 have been raised so far.

DJ Khaled got his start in the music industry working as a DJ in Miami and later rose to fame thanks to his smash hits which have won him 3 Grammys, 2 iHeart Awards, 3 MTV VMAs and 13 BET Hip-Hop Awards + more.

This Sunday April 12th at 12PM, DJ Envy will be LIVE on Instagram for his "DJ-Thon."
