Walmart Employees Will Have Their Temperature Taken Before Shifts

Walmart has taken an unprecedented step to keep its workers and all customers safe from the coronavirus.

Officials have announced that moving forward store managers will begin taking employees' temperatures before they're allowed to work. The new policy, which will also affect Sam's Club employees, will begin as soon as stores receive infrared thermometers which should happen within the next three weeks, a Walmart rep says.

Any employee who has a temperature of 100+ degrees will be sent home and paid for that day, but they won't be allowed back until they've been fever-free for three full days. As part of the new policy, Walmart officials will also be supplying workers with masks and gloves to wear during their shifts.

Would you allow your employer to take your temperature?
