New York Fashion Week is in full throttle as brands showcase their best designs during various shows throughout NYC and during a recent show, Nike debuted their 2020 Tokyo Olympics Collection whilst paying tribute to the Kobe Bryant.
The untimely death of Kobe Bryant and his 13-year old daughter Gianna Bryant is still fresh in our minds and hearts as the world mourns the basketball legend — and although reality has resumed, brands like Nike took the time to pay their respects to the famed Lakers player.
According to The Shade Room, the athletic brand had six children grace the stage sporting Kobe's Lakers jerseys. The "children walked on to the stage and stood in front of an audience that included some pretty big names, including Drake, Gabby Douglas, Virgil Abloh, Nike CEO John Donahoe and many others," the outlet stated.
Kobe previously had a deal with Nike back in 2003 that created and sold many shoes throughout the years.
On Friday, Kobe's wife Vaneesa Bryant finally announced the date and location of Kobe and Gianna's memorial service that will take place at the Staples Center on 2/24.
