The 2020 NBA All-Star weekend is slowly creeping up on us.
This year's All-Star weekend will take place in Chicago, Illinois from February 14th to 16th. The 2020 Dunk Contest started to take shape this morning when Dwight Howard agreed to participate in the contest making it his fourth career NBA Dunk Contest appearance. Shortly after, there were three other invitees revealed such as Miami Heat's Derrick Jones Jr., Memphis Grizzlies' rookie go-to guy Ja Morant, and Chi-Town's own two-time Dunk Champion Zach LaVine. There is no guarantee LaVine or Morant will participate however both are vicious competitors and the chances are very likely. LaVine let reporters know that he'll guarantee his spot in the dunk contest IF he's admitted to the Eastern Conference All-Star Team. For Morant, this would be a great time to take advantage of a marketing opportunity, and stamp himself in the league as a rookie who belongs to be mentioned with the vets.
