Former NFL star Michael Vick is set to being one of the honorary captains at the 2020 Pro Bowl, but some NFL fans and activists online have started a petition in hopes of getting the former player removed from the position. The woman who created the petition believes he shouldn't be allowed in this position due to his past transgressions with dog fighting back in 2007.
In the petition she states her grievances with the NFL and Vick:
"When is the NFL going to take any responsibility for the behavior of it's current and former players? To honor a man who had zero regard for animals is unacceptable and I would like your help to make sure he is NOT honored at the 2020 NFL Pro Bowl."
As of right now close to 500,000 people have signed the petition.
