Social media is not playing bro! Now dropping the eggplant or peach emojis paired together can get you banned šā¤ļøš
Facebook and Instagram quietly updated the Facebook Community Standardsā language regarding permissible sexual expression on the social media platforms which includes cover Instagram.
Under the new terms pairing an eggplant or peach emoji with any expression of what Out.com deems ābeing hornyā now qualifies as āSexual Solicitation" and this can get a userās account flagged or removed.
BBC journalist Thomas Fabbri was researching a piece on how social media bans when he noticed the new language. The Facebook Community Standardsā language is quite broad in its wording, not naming the emojis specifically but referring to ā[commonly used] sexual emojis or emoji strings,ā as criteria which qualifies as āSuggestive Elements.ā
