Tyga Signs A Multi-Million Dollar Deal with Columbia Records

iHeartRadio LIVE With Tyga

Tyga has officially signed a multi-million dollar record deal with Columbia Records.

After releasing a few projects independently through his Last Kings label, the "Taste" rapper wants to further expand his global audience, according to Variety.

"They definitely understand the global brand," Tyga told Variety. "I have a lot of fans worldwide - in places I've never been like South America, and in places I have been like Asia and Europe. They can help bring that to a larger scale. Doing it independently, you don't really have those teams to help worldwide."

He further speaks how the Sony Music label has blown up the careers of artists like Pharrell, Beyoncé, and Adele, while also helping the new artists like Lil Nas X.

Although Tyga just released his latest album "Legendary" back in June, he will be releasing new music under Columbia Records soon.

He teases saying, "I'm always in the studio. I could put a single out and have another out right after. I'm always creating."
