Men Who Rescued Girl From Under Train Honored

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosts a ceremony honoring Jairo Torres and Antonyo Love, who jumped into action to rescue a 5-year-old girl who had been dragged in front of a train by her father.

Earlier this week a New York City man died after he jumped in front of a moving train while holding his five-year-old daughter during rush hour on Monday (September 23) morning. The young girl was alert and crying after the terrifying incident. She suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital.

Dramatic video captured the Good Samaritans pulling the girl out from underneath the train and lifting her back up onto the platform.
