Amazon Drops New 'Jack Ryan' Trailer & Reveals Season 2 Premiere Date

John Krasinski is back as the titular Jack Ryan in an exciting new trailer for the upcoming second season. The Amazon original series, which is an adaptation of Tom Clancy's popular book series, will finally return on November 1.

The first look at the sophomore season shows the beleaguered CIA agent embroiled in conflict in the Venezuelan jungle. Here's the official description for the season from Amazon:

"In the second season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan,' after tracking a potentially suspicious shipment of illegal arms in the Venezuelan jungle, CIA Officer Jack Ryan heads down to South America to investigate. As Jack’s investigation threatens to uncover a far-reaching conspiracy, the President of Venezuela launches a counter-attack that hits home for Jack, leading him and his fellow operatives on a global mission spanning the United States, UK, Russia, and Venezuela to unravel the President’s nefarious plot and bring stability to a country on the brink of chaos."

In addition to Krasinski, Wendell Pierce returns for the second season as fan-favorite character James Greer. Abbie Cornish, who played Ryan's on-screen love interest Cathy Mueller, will not appear in the second season. Noomi Rapace and Michael Kelly, however, have joined the cast in new roles.
