Rapsody Shares Her Opinion On The State Of Female Hip-Hop: “It’s Beautiful"

With her new album set to drop this Friday, Rapsody stopped by The Angie Martinez show to share some stories about the upcoming project including how she was able to secure a feature from the LEGENDARY Queen Latifah, as well as sharing her thoughts about the state of Females in Hip-Hop!

Her new album which is titled "Eve", has one of the dopests concepts behind it, every record on the album is named after an iconic Black Woman who inspired the MC at some point in her life, stating that, “I wanted to make something to show that we as black woman, have different flavors, different styles, different attitudes”. Getting to work with Queen Latifah was one of her favorite experiences while working on the album stating that she was like a big sister to her the entire time even adding on that she gave her input on various records and even the title of the project!

When it comes to the state of females in Hip-Hop The North Carolina MC that she get asked that question a lot, "its beautiful, you need different energies and different vibes for what your feeling” adding on that there has been a Missy Elliot for every Lil Kim! She also expressed that she wants to work with Cardi B but is waiting on the right song to make it happen.
