Boxer Dies After Taking 300+ Punches In Bout

A boxer who went into a coma on Friday night after suffering serious injuries during an ESPN fight has passed away his trainer, Buddy McGirt, announced.

Maxim Dadashev, a Russian junior welterweight contender was fighting Subriel Matias of Puerto Rico on ESPN last week when he took over 300 punches to the face and body forcing his trainer to beg him to throw in the towel.

McGirt eventually got the fight stopped but Maxim was already badly injured and collapsed due to brain bleeding. He was rushed to a hospital where he was place in a coma, but today his trainer announced that the 28-year-old boxer has passed away.
