Rah Ali is mourning the loss of her baby girl.
According to TMZ, the Love & Hip Hop star delivered her daughter on Sunday (May 26) — four months too soon as she was due in the middle of October — and the child survived for only a few minutes after the premature birth.
Sources told the entertainment news site that Rah was at home on Sunday when her water broke and contractions started. Being that she was only five months pregnant, Rah was subsequently rushed to the hospital. However, doctors were unable to save her baby.
The insider added, the premature birth came as a complete shock because Rah's previous doctor visits revealed no signs of trouble with her pregnancy. As fans know, Rah had yet to announce that she was expecting. A source told TMZ she had just taken pregnancy reveal photos earlier this month and was planning to announce her pregnancy in June.
During this time of grief, one of the TV personality's closest friends, Nicki Minaj, has reportedly been doing everything she can to be supportive. An insider told TMZ, the "Good Form" rapper has been "calling and checking on Rah, and trying to lift her spirits as much as possible considering the devastating situation."
