John Singleton Has Passed Away At 51

After suffering a massive stroke last week and with there being many conflicting reports about his condition during that time John Singleton has passed away at the age of 51. When he returned from a trip last week in Costa Rica he began experiencing some problems with his legs, shortly after he checked himself into a Hospital, it was shortly after that he suffered from the stroke in his Hospital room.

A rep for his family has said that he passed away "peacefully, surrounded by his family and friends".

Singleton was the youngest person as well as the first African American director nominated for an Academy award for "Best Director". You may remember him for his work on some of the most iconic films including "Boyz N The Hood", "Poetic Justice," "Higher Learning", "2 Fast 2 Furious", "Four Brothers", "Baby Boy", "Shaft" + many more.

His legacy will live on through these films, R.I.P/
