Even after the crisis concerning his deportation, rapper 21 Savage has not stopped his efforts to help the community in the city of Atlanta that he calls home.
Savage has commenced the second phase of his Financial Literacy Bank Account campaign. If you don't know the goal of the campaign is to boost financial literacy and knowledge within younger generations. The campaign also features an online seminar that gives lessons, tips and tricks of the trade by 21 Savage himself.
While on a visit to Camp Jewel House Academy in Atlanta, 21 taught a group of fourth grade students about the ins and outs of the industry; all while highlighting the significance of financial knowledge for them.
During the lesson Savage pledged to give $100 dollars to each of the 150 kids that attended the event. He also said that he would start a bank account for the children as well.
Savage says: “For most kids, the focus is on earning money, And while that is important, to really get ahead you need to know how to manage your money, not just make it."
Savage has continually voiced his concerns about maintaining your money in this industry. He is also one in a small handful of artists that actually own 100 percent of their masters.
It doesn't look like 21 has any plans to slow down on his initiative and it is great to see someone in the business teaching the kids how to boss up.
