Weeks after the alleged attack in Chicago, the case of Jussie Smollett is taking another turn and things are not looking good for the former Empire actor. After it was reported earlier this week that his scenes would be cut from the show the actor is now facing charges from the Chicago police department.
In a tweet from the Police Department spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi it was revealed that charges will be official filed against the actor for reporting a false crime:
"Felony criminal charges have been approved by @CookCountySAO against Jussie Smollett for Disorderly Conduct / Filing a False Police Report. Detectives will make contact with his legal team to negotiate a reasonable surrender for his arrest."
A bail hearing for Jussie Smollett is scheduled for 1:30pm CT tomorrow Thursday February 21st
