Bird Box has become an international phenomenon as its been breaking records on Netflix since release in late December. Spawning thousands of meme, viral videos, and now even a #BirdBoxChallenge (which Netflix is pleading viewers to not participate in), there still is one burning question remaining after the films ending. What does the monster in the movie really look like?
While we never get a full look as to what the creature looks like, their impact on the world around them is enough to give viewers nightmares for a long time. However in a recent interview with Bloody Disgusting screenwriter for "Bird Box" Eric Heisserer revealed some interesting details about the creatures true form saying:
"There was a time when one of the producers was like, ‘No, you have to see something at some point’ and forced me to write essentially a nightmare sequence where Malorie experiences one in that house. It was snake-like, and I was like, ‘I don’t want to see it when it first happens. Just bring it into the room. We’ll shoot the scene.’ I turn and he’s like this [growling at me.] It’s making me laugh. It was just a long fat baby."
Sandra Bullock also spoke about the monster recalling it to be ‘a green man with a horrific baby face’.
