As 2018 comes to a close, the new year will bring in new people to admire. This year, however, was filled with admirable people and according to the annual Gallup poll released on Thursday (Dec. 27), the lists hosts several respectable people admired by many.
Former President Barack Obama and first lady Michelle Obama came out on top for this years most admired people in the United States list.
According to USA today:
The "top 10 list are former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, businessmen Bill Gates and Elon Musk, independent Bernie Sanders and Democrat Joe Biden, Vice President Mike Pence, Pope Francis and the Dalai Lama."
Aside from this year headliners, Michelle Obama seemingly knocked former first lady Hilary Clinton from her 17-year spot at the top of the list. Michelle has been basking in achievements since the start of her book tour for the debut of her recently released autobiography "Becoming."
The runner up on the list was media mogul Oprah Winfrey, followed by Hilary Clinton and the current first lady Melania Trump.
