Boy Not Allowed In School For Having Dreadlocks

A tiny private Christian school in central Florida is feeling the wrath of the internet this week over video of a 6-year-old being turned away on the first day of school because he has dreadlocks.

CJ Stanley's father recorded what he thought would be his son's first day of school only to met with rejection by the school when son arrived due to his hair.  The 6-year-old's father shared the video of the entire incident via his Facebook page.

The Book Christian Academy which has been educating children in the Orlando suburbs since 1971, tells The Washington Post that at no point in those 47 years has any boy been allowed to have long hair in class.
