Lil Wayne finally has new music for us! -Well had new music for us. The recent leaking of his newest song seems to have been a huge mistake.
Although Wayne has made many appearances with his former Young Money/ Cash Money team, he has rarely released any new projects of his own. This hiatus from the music stems from his contractual battles with his label and the label's co-founder Birdman.
Wayne, who was recently emancipated from his bonded contract with Cash Money Records, is now free to continue working on his Tha Carter V project, which may incorporate the newly leaked song "Quasimodo". Mixtape distribution platform Datpiff leaked the song and it has been floating around social media ever since. BUT as of today, the song has been taken down on all platforms.
Almost five years after the original drop date, Tha Carter V seems to be in progress. There has been no word yet from Lil Wayne alluding to this drop happening any time soon, but we are on the lookout for release dates following this story.
