It has been announced that Harvey Weinstein is facing three additional felony charges of sexual misconduct and could be sentenced to life in prison.
Back in May, Weinstein was indicted on first and third-degree rape charges along with a first-degree criminal act charge. Weinstein surrendered to authorities and would be penalized a maximum sentencing of 25 years in prison.
His newest indictment is the result of a monthslong, ongoing investigation.
As of recent reports, the DA announced the grand jury's verdict to add those charges of a first-degree criminal sexual act, as well as two counts of predatory sexual assault; which carries a minimum sentence of 10 years and a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.
Weinstein has pled not guilty and is currently on a one million dollar bail. There has been no word yet on when the trial will take place.
