Cardi B's 'Invasion Of Privacy' Already Certified Gold Hours After Release

Clap for her! After only being released at midnight on Friday (April 6), Cardi B's debut studio album, Invasion Of Privacy, is already certified gold.

This quickly achieved milestone was made possible by a certain technicality based on the massive success of Cardi's first official single, "Bodak Yellow." As many of us might remember, the track became 5x multi-platinum in September 2017. "That being so, the Chart Data states that 10 track units is the equivalent of one album sale, which means that her No. 1 single, which is on her album, has already sold 500,000 units, making it gold status," VIBE reports.

However, the success of "Bodak Yellow" most likely won't go toward Invasion Of Privacy's first week sales. But, with the way that people are loving the project thus far, we're sure Cardi won't have any issues in the sales department.

"The emotions that I have now that my debut album is here [are] No. 1: relief. It's like I just handed in the project that you hand in after Easter break" Cardi told iHeartRadio in an exclusive interview. "And I also feel a little bit anxiety. I'm nervous... This is my biggest project and I put a lot of work in it. I just hope that people appreciate it and people appreciate all the sleepless nights that I had to record this album." We sure do, girl.
