Rapper Roxanne Shanté Gets Netflix Biopic

Big-ups to Netflix who is debuting a biopic following the story of 14-year old battle rapper, Roxanne Shanté.  What's more, the producers of 'Fruitvale' Station' and 'Dope' are teaming up to bring this story to life. 

At the age of 14, Lolita "Roxanne Shante" Gooden was well on her way to becoming a Hip-Hop legend as she hustled to provide for her family while defending herself from the dangers of the streets.

The film, 'ROXANNE, ROXANNE,' stars actors are Nia Long, Beastie Boys' Ad-Rock, Mahershala Ali, and Chanté Adams as Roxanne Shanté. The movie is set to screen on Netflix March 23.
