Drake Surprises University Of Miami Student With $50,000 Check For Tuition

Drake just gave a college student one of the best gifts of her entire life. Earlier this week, Drizzy went down to Miami to shoot his "God's Plan" music video at Miami Senior High School. But, the rapper also stopped by the University of Miami for some more fun.

While at the university, Drake surprised pre-dentistry student Destiny James with a $50,000 donation for her tuition! “This happened today,” James later posted on her Instagram. “I applied to scholarships last year for which I had to write an essay. I received those scholarships and thought that was the end of it. Apparently, my essay and my story made it to other departments.” The future doctor went on to say that she was contacted to appear in a video and explain more about herself in it. But, this was all a part of Drake's masterplan.

"Drake told me that he has read great things about me and appreciates how hard I've worked through so many trials and decided to give me $50K for my tuition. @champagnepapi THANK YOU SO MUCH!!' You don't understand what this means to me!" James added. "God I thank you. You are so great and amazing! Thank you for blessing me when I thought my hard work was going unnoticed. I’m living out my dreams. God’s Plan."

After awarding the college student with a $50,000 check, Drake went back to shooting his "God's Plan" video at Miami Senior High School. There, the rapper also donated $25,000 to that school and revealed that his October's Very Own brand would be designing new uniforms for the students. Somebody was in a big giving mood!
