10 Best Reactions To Beyoncé Starring As Nala In 'The Lion King' Remake

No one, not a single Twitter user, was ready for the official announcement that Beyoncé would star as Nala in the 2019 remake of classic children's film The Lion King. More than six months after rumors sparked that the "Formation" singer was director Jon Favreau's top pick for the role, the Beyhive's dreams came true -- and subsequently, they were immediately buzzing all over Twitter.

Disney announced the news in a nonchalant tweet last night (November 1), with a photo of the star-studded cast, including Donald Glover as Simba and James Earl Jones as Mufasa.

Of course, Twitter users quickly realized that not only was the cast great, but the Hans-Zimmer-scored soundtrack was destined to be blessed by Beyoncé's killer vocals, and an unexpected collaboration with Childish Gambino on iconic Disney love song, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?"

Fans had plenty more to point out about the greatness that will surely ensue with this cast in 2019, which now seems oh-so far away. Read through the ten best reactions to Beyoncé's new role, below.
