A New York school district is banning 'Squid Game' Halloween costumes due to the 'violent message' the hit series shows.

There are three elementary schools from Fayetteville-Manlius in Syracuse that have decided to ban costumes from the globally popular 'Squid Game' Netflix show. The costumes usually consist of jump suits, track suits and masks. The concepts have been banned from all Halloween events the schools hold. The district says that the costumes, "do not meet our school costume guidelines due to the potential violent message aligned with the costume.”
The superintendent in White Plains made a comment on the matter of 'Squid Game' costumes saying it won't be banned at their schools saying it's a "slipper slope," The superintendent continues, "Pirates, for example, were historically violent outlaws!"
