Abused Teen Asks "Any Nation" To Giver Her Asylum

 

A teen from Kuwait is currently locked up in a hotel room in Thailand begin any nation to protect her from her abusive family and grant her asylum.

The 18-year-old girl who locked herself in the Thai hotel room to keep from being sent back to her allegedly abusive family has been allowed to stay in the country to meet with U.N. refugee officials. 

Rahaf Mohammed al-Qunun sent out desperate pleas for help on Twitter after running away during a family trip to Kuwait and hopping on a plane to Thailand. The teen said she is seeking asylum in Australia, and Thai police have allowed her to meet with U.N. refugee officials.
