Jay Z who recently made history on being the first hip-hop artist to have a net worth of a billion dollar and has ties to many different companies such as Uber,Tidal,Roc Nation and many more. Jay Z has set his sites on another business venture, he has decided to partner up with a cannabis product company, Caliva.
Jay signed a multiyear deal where he will be a chief brand strategist where he will focus on the creative direction of the company and on outreach. Caliva released a few statements explaining Jay's role even further.
"focus on and work to increase the economic participation of citizens returning from incarceration — many of who are not seeing the monetary benefits of legalization — through advocacy, job training, and overall employee and workforce development.”
Jay also released a statement explaining that Caliva is the best partner to start his endeavor
"Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level. With all the potential in the cannabis industry, Caliva’s expertise and ethos makes them the best partner for this endeavor.”
Throughout this new journey he also will focus on helping people who were incarcerated on cannabis charges get into the legal weed business. Congrats to Jay and his new endeavor.
