That Janet Jackson reign just won’t let up.
The “All for You” singer, who comes alive when she’s on stage, is continuing to pack her schedule with tour dates. Not only is she doing a Vegas residency but it was also announced today Friday (Mar. 15), that she will be headlining the Glastonbury Festival which takes place every June in England.
Along with Janet includes other major/up-and-coming R&B and Hip-Hop artists including Stormzy, Lauryn Hill, Janelle Monae, Wu-Tang Clan, Stefflon Don, Jorja Smith, Nenah Cherry, and Lizzo. This will mark Janet and Lauryn’s first time performing at the UK festival.
The annual festival said they have worked towards making their concert lineup balanced between genders. Despite three of the headliners being male, 42% percent of the acts slated to perform are women. However, Glastonbury will be announcing more artists before the festival commences in late June. When tickets were released in October, it was nearly sold out; nonetheless, fans can purchase a canceled pass on April 28th.
