Actor and singer Trevor Jackson is out here making some major moves, not only does he star in 'Grown-ish,' but he also just dropped his debut album and is starring in the reboot of the 70's classic 'Super Fly.'
On Tuesday Trevor sat down with Angie Martinez to talk about his debut album 'Rough Draft Part 1' which is out now and about he says is all about how he's embraced all his mistakes in life. "Your not gonna get your final draft the first time" he says about why he picked that title.
He also talks tells Angie all about him auditioning for 'The Lion King' when he was only 8-years-old, how he was ready to quit acting before landing his role in American Crime and how starring in the Netflix movie 'Burning Sands' caused him some major backlash.
While on the topic of his acting career, Trevor discussed starring in the upcoming 'Super Fly' reboot which will was directed by Producer X (Lil' X) and stars Big Boy, Esai Morales, Jason Mitchell and Michael K. Williams. "I did all my own stunts...all the fight scenes, all that stuff is real" he says about shooting the movie.
Trevor also goes into why he hates social media, how today's youth can't even sit still for long enough to watch a movie + his mom being part Puerto Rican but not knowing Spanish because his mom was adopted by a white couple.
