Celebrities have composed whole albums under their alter egos or creative personas for years; and we as fans have come to love it! In order to bring awareness to Multiple Personality Disorder Day today I have listed some of your favorite celebs who may actually have cases of DID (Dissociative identity disorder) or who just have a well known alter ego.
Herschel Walker: In his book "Breaking Free," Herschel Walker reveals he has a form of dissociative identity disorder, or DID, formerly known as multiple personality disorder. When asked how many personalities he has he answered "To be honest, I have no idea."
YNW Melly: Melly revealed that he has been diagnosed with DID, bipolar disorder and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). His split personas who is named "Melvin" has come out in what seems to be the most recent case of DID that has turned violent.
Britney Spears: Sources close to Britney Spears claimed in that the singer was "suffering from dissociative identity disorder, which leads the sufferers to take on various personalities to dissociate them from reality." Britney was "said to have been showing a variety of different personalities. Besides "The British girl", other alter egos include "the weepy girl," "the diva," and "the incoherent girl."
Lady Gaga: We have seen how creative Gaga can be. This creativity is shown through her alter egos such as Jo Calderone. But "many experts have come forward saying that Lady Gaga appears to suffer from Multiple Personality Disorder."
Nicki Minaj: People often cite Nicki Minaj's alter ego, Roman Zolanski, as evidence that she may be dealing with multiple personality disorder. Her outrages may even stem from this condition. She has referred to Roman as another person. She has said often that: "Roman is so flamboyant, so outspoken, so open, and, you know, creative."
