Nicki Minaj Drops New Album 'Queen' Featuring Eminem, The Weeknd & More

For her much-anticipated return to the rap scene, Nicki Minaj dropped her fourth studio album, Queen, one week earlier than the August 17 release date. The LP boasts 19 tracks in total with guest appearances from Eminem, Labrinth, The Weeknd, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, Future, Swae Lee and Foxy Brown.

Queen didn't see the smoothest rollout plan, with multiple delays and even an August 17 release date, which pitted her against labelmate Ariana Grande and her new album, Sweetener, but early reaction to the LP has had fans admitting it was well worth the wait. The project marks her first album since 2014's The Pinkprint, which spawned hits like "Anaconda," "Only" and "Truffle Butter." Of all the tracks on the collection, "Barbie Dreams" seems to be garnering the most interest as it's a flip of Notorious B.I.G.'s "Just Playing (Dreams)." Not only is it also an update to one of her decade-old tracks called "Dreams," but she aims her target at a number of rappers, including Meek Mill, Drake, Desiigner, Young Thug, DJ Khaled and more.

Still, Nicki wanted listeners to know that the namedropping was done out of love and not meant to be serious swipes. "I only mentioned people in #BarbieDreams that I f**k wit. This isn’t a diss. Yikes. This is culture, this is BIGGIE!!!!! New York!!!! This is FUN. Light hearted fun FUN," she tweeted after the Friday unveiling.
