Kodak Black Sentenced To One Year in Jail On Marijuana And Gun Charges

Kodak Black has been M.I.A for a couple months and that’s because he has been in a South Florida jail awaiting his sentence on multiple charges, that came from a gun and marijuana possession arrest back in January .

On Tuesday (April 17), the court sentenced the rapper to serve a year behind bars. However, Kodak does have a chance to get out earlier if he continues the good behavior . So far he’s already served 90 days.

The original arrest  included charges of grand theft of a firearm, two charges of possession of a weapon or ammo by a Florida delinquent adult felon, possession of cannabis over 20 grams, child neglect without great bodily harm and two counts of parole violation. According to court documents, those violations included driving on a suspended license and “associating with people committing crimes.”

Most of those charges were later dismissed, except the possession of a weapon by a felon and possession of cannabis remaining, which he pleaded not guilty to.
