'The Breaks' Actors Tells Us Why VH1 Turned Movie Into TV Series + Mack Wilds Calls Out Other TV Rappers

Mack Wilds, Antoine Harris, and Sinqua Walls the cast of VH1's 90's nostalgic Hip Hop series The Breaks stopped by the AT&T Studio to talk with Angie Martinez about what to expect from this season. 

While in the studio they talked about:

  • The VH1 moving doing so well that the VH1 decided to turn it into a TV series 
  • Discuss the differences between the movie and the TV series 
  • Sinqua talks about how mcuh he loves Tupac, and Mac Dre since he's from the Bay. 
  • Antonio says that his top favorite Hip Hip artist include Lost Boyz, Pac, Biggie, Jay Z 
  • Mac Wilds names his top MC's of all time as Biggie, Tupac, Lauryn Hill, Kanye,  and Rakim 
  • Antonie talks about his disappointment from getting killed off of the Starz show Power
  • Mack, Antonie, and Sinqua talk deeper into how the TV series will show more depth about the birth of the Hip Hop culture 
  • They talk about working with the world famous producer DJ Premier who handles all the music.
  • Dave East, TI, and Teyana Taylor will be making a cameo appearance on the show.
  • Mac challenges all other TV rappers, says nobody is better than Deevee.
  • The show will be airing  on VH1 every Monday February 20 at 9 PM.
