H.E.R is fresh off of the release of her brand new album “Back Of My Mind” featuring Lil Baby, Ty Dolla $ign, Chris Brown, Bryson Tiller, DJ Khaled + more! Stopping by The Angie Martinez show today the singer shared with us some insight about her journey to have an EGOT, getting more into acting, her Grammy wins, the album + why she used to hide her face.
For the young singer, you would think the proudest moment for her family would be the moment she won a Grammy or an Oscar but no, it’s an Old Navy commercial. Sharing with Angie Martinez that of course, her family has been so proud of her journey thus far, but when they see her commercial pop up on TV they can’t help but tell her how proud they are. Nonetheless, H.E.R is currently starting her path to EGOT status, with a Grammy and Oscar under her belt she expressed to Angie that you will definitely be seeing her in more acting roles and there is a plan in place where she hopes to achieve that status.
As for the album, H.E.R expressed how she feels that this is her first true full body of work. In a project that encompasses everything that makes R&B, the singer also shared that every now and then she lets the rapper inside of her out, which you can expect a bit more of in the future.
